Hillside Cemetery

Location: On the north side of New York State Route 14A in the Village of Dundee.
The Village of Dundee Public Works Department, Village-appointed person or contractor is responsible for all cemetery maintenance.

Visting Hours: from dusk to dawn.
5 mile an hour speed limit.
Use the designated walks and drives.
No trespassing unnecessarily on cemetery lots.
No picking flowers.
No damaging any shrubs, trees or plants.
No mar or defacing any monument, stone or structure in the cemetery.
All persons entering the cemetery ground must conduct themselves in a respectful manner.
Children under 12 shall not be permitted in the cemetery grounds unless accompanied by an adult.
No unauthorized vehicles are allowed on the cemetery grounds. (Include: Off road vehicles such as four-wheelers or snowmobiles)
No animal shall enter into the cemetery, except seeing-eye dogs, unless confine inside a vehicle.
No using weed eaters, lawn mowers, or pesticides within the cemetery.

Person desiring to purchase a lot will be referred to the Superintendent of Public Works. Visit the Village Departments page to find the contact information for the Superintendent of Public Works.
Following the selection of a lot, the prospective purchaser shall pay for the lot(s). The transaction will be receipted and a lot certificate will be prepared by the Village Clerk and mail to the purchaser.
Cemetery lot certificates will be placed only in the name(s) of a living person(s), except in the case of a single space purchased by the estate of the deceased when there are no living relatives. At the time of need, the cemetery lot must be fully paid prior to the opening of a grave.
There shall not be any reserving of lots. All lots will be available to the public at large until payment in full is received by the Village Clerk. No partial payments will be excepted.
